Sally Howard Sally started working in theatre from an early age which opened her eyes to a world of art and performants. She went on to study Art and Design at Ipswich Art School moving on to specialise in Theatre Design at Croydon College, London.
During her studies Sally worked for many costumiers and theatre companies. After graduating, Sally embarked on a career working in theatre and the creative industries as a Theatre Designer, designing Set and Costumes for many theatre companies as well as the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. She also worked professionally as a Scenic Artist, Prop Maker, Costume Maker and Sculpture.
Sally currently tutors Life Drawing classes and Theatre Design skills.
Working from her studio in Fingringhoe, while bring up her family, Sally is now developing her own artwork in a wide range of practices such as Lino printing, Stained Glass, Mosaic, Textiles, Painting and Drawing, being inspired by the beautiful countryside and coastal areas around her with the help of photography and early morning walks.
Sally loves working and manipulating materials across all arts and crafts and has been a practising art for as long as she can remember!
