Chinese Painting with Jean McCarthy

On a bright and sparkling March afternoon Jeanie thrilled us all with mixture of Paintings, Books, Materials ( including Silk ), stamps and Magazines. She showed us how to use authentic Chinese paintbrushes and load them with paint and ink. It was fascinating to find out that when use the unusual ( for us anyway ) mediums like special papers which were super absorbent and silk, the Chinese paint on both sides of the paper.

Jeanie supplied lots of materials and made them available for us all to experience. Mixing and making the paints etc was a bit of an eye opener too. Lots of pictures her for you to see some of the Session, which created a bit of a buzz.
