DAS Plein Air ~ 20th December 2025 - Maldon

A beautiful way to round off our plein air year ✨

A great turnout for our final 2025 paint-out, with a magical early-morning drive into Maldon, wrapped in soft winter mists drifting across the countryside. By 10am the sun had broken through and we tucked ourselves into a little sun-trap near the kiosk — coffee and homemade mince pies all round… we almost forgot to paint ☕🥧

By late morning we were dotted about like busy bees, fully absorbed in capturing Maldon’s charm. This marks our third Christmas paint-out in Maldon, and yet there’s always a new corner, a fresh view, something different to paint. Passers-by were wonderfully encouraging, stopping to chat and watch the work unfold.

We downed tools at 1pm and headed off for our plein air Christmas lunch at The Queens Head — fantastic food as always. We’ll definitely be back next year 🎄🎨
