DAS Plein Air ~ 23 August 2025 - Goldhanger

At the weekend we met up at Newson’s Farm Shop & Coffee Pot (@newsonsfarmshop_coffeepot) for coffee and a catch-up before heading down the road to the lovely village of Goldhanger. With its pretty cottages, winding lanes and the welcoming Chequers Inn (@chequersgoldhanger), it made the perfect setting for our plein air day.

Members worked in watercolour, ink & wash, oils and acrylics. Some chose to paint the pub and village houses, while others took the short walk out to Goldhanger Creek and the surrounding fields. The mix of subjects and styles meant the artwork was, as always, varied, individual and full of character.

The (mostly) warm weather and peaceful atmosphere made for a really enjoyable day together, and the village of Goldhanger is definitely a place we’ll look forward to returning to again soon.
