Angella Horner
Angella Horner’s influence during her time of membership had a considerable impact on the society. An excellent organiser, and always enthusiastic, Angella worked tirelessly to take the society forward at that time.
Angella oversaw the rebranding of the then Dedham Art Group to the Dedham Art Society and served as the inaugural committee chairperson of the Dedham Art Society in 2018, composing the then constitution and drafting the society’s original website.
During this time Angella negotiated the society’s move from the Stratford Institute to the Assembly Rooms in Dedham which has become a much treasured venue for the society.
Angella’s painting style showcases bold, geometric shapes and vibrant colours, blending cubism with figurative or architectural subjects using sharp outlines and a playful, pop-art-inspired modern aesthetic.
